The U17 Uganda female national team the She Cranes saw their road come to a shattering end in the FIFA World Cup Qualifiers.
This was after being held to a 1-1 draw in a game against Ethiopia.
Uganda took the lead right into the half time after the captain Shakira Nyinagahirwa scored in the 33rd minute to give Uganda the much deserved and needed lead.
The girls were able to hold on but the hosts managed to equalise at the Abebe Bikila stadium in Addis Ababa.
Ethiopia was however able to fight back and equalize in the 77th minute through Eyerusalem Wondemu.
Full time saw the game ending 1-1 and 3-3 on aggregate.
This meant that Ethiopia advanced to the next stage at the expense of Uganda on away goals rule.
The Ethiopians had scored twice in the 2-2 draw in Kampala a few weeks ago.
Ethiopia will now face South Africa in the next round of the stage.
